1. Our Story:

Miao is a small secret tribe with 4000 years of history. Silver plays a significant role in every Miao people’s life. Everyone wears silver jewelry, especially Miao women. 2. The story behind the Pine Tree in Miao Tribe

Pine trees represent peace and fortune. Some Miao people will plant a pine tree at the place where they want to build their houses. There is a myth among the elders that their ancestry wants them to find a site similar to a buffalo’s body and plant a pine tree. If the pine tree survives, they can live here for 3-5 years. If the people living there like the place, it will be the place their tribal people set. Following the direction, the Miao ancestors followed the mountain track and found a spot near DOU lake. There were many bare rocks with a lake. There is a massive mark of buffalo’s foot on the rock, and the answers believed this is the holy place they are supposed to stay. They planted the pine tree there, and the trees grow with the people, and soon, the community grows, and the elder people name is “kongshen, ” which means the clear lake.
